Island Home is an Australian short film encapsulating the pristine, natural beauty of our coastline, from the wildly colourful Great Barrier Reef in the north, to the cold and raw seascapes of the Great Australian Bight. DAN ROSS and BELINDA BAGGS are Australian surfers and activists who have been fighting the fossil fuel industry’s threat to our island-nation’s coastline. In this 5-min film we witness their humble cliff-top conversation over a campfire and billy-tea, set to stunning visual
moments from around Australia, interviews with first nations elder Uncle Kenny, as well as the evocative music of indigenous quartet Culture is Life, headed by Glenn Skuthorpe.
